NEW AND IMPROVED DECKS FROM BUDGET CONSTRUCTION

NORTHWEST SUBURBS CHICAGOLAND DECK CONSTRUCTION

With spring finally upon us here in the Chicagoland area, it’s that time of the year where everyone starts thinking about being outside more. Winters can be long and brutal in this part of the country, so that makes it even more important for folks to enjoy the nice weather when it does come around. One of the best ways to get out there and enjoy spring and summer is in the comfort of your home, on a deck built by Budget Construction. We’ve been in business since 1976 and family owned and run in all that time. We’ve built countless decks for all different types and sizes of homes, so we’ve got the experience you can trust when it comes for your new deck build.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WITH YOUR NEW DECK

There are several elements you will want to keep in mind, and some options you will have once you decide a new deck is right for you. First, we always suggest to our customers, ask yourself, what do I want to use the deck space for? Perhaps you want a nice area to grill out and eat during the warm months. Do you have large parties for family and friends in mind for this, or just your smaller and immediate family? Do you want a big open space for kids to play on? Maybe a covered section to shade you from the heat of the midday sun. Some people want different sections for different uses, maybe an eating area, and another set up with some nice chairs for conversation and entertaining. The best decks are the ones that meet the individual needs best, and for that to happen our consultants will work with you and your needs to really hone in on your vision for the finished product.

MATERIAL TYPES

When it comes to the types of materials available, there is going to be a correlation between the overall cost of the deck, and how much maintenance it will require. To really generalize here, you can spend more on the materials and end up with a synthetic product that not only looks great, but is virtually maintenance free. Regular treated lumber will cost less initially, but you will need to treat it every few years – cleaning and sealing as the elements take their toll. Cedar makes a great choice for decks – since it is naturally rot resistant they fare better than standard treated boards. Cedar is also very visually appealing to many people. Our consultants will be able to work within your budget and also describe the different options available to you so you can make the best choice.

A GREAT WAY TO ADD VALUE TO YOUR HOME

When you install a deck on your home, it is like a double-win, since you get the enjoyment out of it yourself, but you also add to your home’s overall value. Some type of outdoor space is considered desirable by so many people that when it does come time to sell your home, a deck or other outdoor space might be very attractive to people who view your home! Home remodeling is a great way to invest in your home, and of course the best part is that you actually get to enjoy it all spring and summer long!
